About the Role

The rtNOW PAP Adherence SC role is a unique opportunity for Respiratory Therapists to work remotely and make a significant impact on patient care. As a pioneer in telerespiratory therapy, rtNOW is committed to delivering high-quality care to patients with pulmonary diseases. This role entails working closely with patients, educating them on the proper use of PAP devices, and providing ongoing support to ensure adherence to their treatment plans.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively in a remote setting. They will be responsible for assessing patient needs, creating personalized communication plans, and maintaining accurate patient records. What You Will Do

  • Receive patients into the adherence process and assess their needs for achieving adherence
  • Create personalized communication plans with patients based on their individual needs
  • Provide clinical support to internal team members and answer questions or resolve issues
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA guidelines
  • Work independently to find solutions to problems and improve patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality patient care and support
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and best practices
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and respond to their concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines at all times
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to continuously improve patient care and outcomes
  • Stay current with industry developments and advancements in respiratory therapy

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy
  • Registered Respiratory Therapy credential
  • State licensure(s) in assigned service location as needed
  • Actively licensed in SC
  • Computer and internet skills, including proficiency in Excel
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate and complete patient records
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in a telehealth setting
  • Familiarity with CPAP and BiPAP equipment
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHRs)
  • Certification in respiratory therapy, such as RRT or CRT
