About the Role
The RTOC Analyst role at SLB is a critical position that involves managing the IT infrastructure and data acquisition systems at the wellsite. This role requires a deep understanding of IT equipment, data management, and communication protocols. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the IT infrastructure, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with remote teams to resolve problems.As a key member of the team, the RTOC Analyst will work closely with other professionals to ensure that the wellsite operations are running efficiently and effectively. This will involve managing user access and permissions, establishing and maintaining data links, and ensuring that all IT equipment is properly inventoried and maintained.
The role is based in Dehradun, but the company offers remote work options, providing the opportunity for candidates to work flexibly and balance their professional and personal lives.
What You Will Do
- Manage the IT infrastructure at the wellsite, including hardware and software updates
- Troubleshoot issues with IT equipment, sensors, and cabling
- Establish and maintain data links to town and wellsite networks
- Manage user access and permissions
- Collaborate with remote teams to resolve problems and share knowledge
- Inventory and maintain IT equipment
- Re-start virtual machines as needed
- Work with the drill operations team to ensure seamless communication and data transfer
- Participate in training and development programs to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends
What We Are Looking For
- 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure management and data acquisition
- Strong knowledge of IT equipment, data management, and communication protocols
- Experience with remote work and collaboration tools
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with town-based Orchestra & Prism systems
- Experience with data acquisition/core and services elements of the wellsite execution systems
Nice to Have
- Experience with virtual machine management and cloud computing
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices
- Familiarity with IT service management frameworks
- Certification in ITIL or similar frameworks
- Experience with agile project management methodologies
