About the Role
The Safety Professional role at Medcor is a unique opportunity for individuals to utilize their knowledge and skills to make a significant impact on site safety. What You Will Do
- Conduct site audits to identify potential hazards and implement safety programs to mitigate risks
- Develop and implement site-specific safety plans, including emergency response procedures and spill response plans
- Conduct safety training sessions for field personnel and management, including OSHA certification training
- Lead safety meetings and participate in incident investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and engineering, to ensure safety protocols are integrated into daily operations
- Develop and maintain safety documentation, including safety manuals, procedures, and records
- Participate in regulatory compliance activities, including OSHA inspections and audits
- Provide guidance and support to field personnel on safety procedures and protocols
- Identify and recommend safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Develop and implement safety metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure safety performance
What We Are Looking For
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification
- CHST or OSHA 500 certification (Preferred)
- Relevant safety experience in the construction or general industry
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols, regulations, and industry best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to develop and implement effective safety programs
- Experience with safety management software and systems
