Job Description

About the Role

The Application Sales Director will be responsible for leading the sales and technical application of Saint-Gobain's solutions to the professional building and project market in Denmark. This is a director-level position that reports to the CEO of Saint-Gobain Denmark, Mick Schou Rasmussen. The successful candidate will be responsible for a team of 16 employees, including team leaders, specialists, and consultants.

As a key member of the management team, the Application Sales Director will play a critical role in driving the company's growth strategy, Lead & Grow. This involves developing and executing sales and application strategies based on data, market, and customer insights. The goal is to create a clear direction, structure, and results-driven approach that aligns with the company's overall vision.

The Application Sales Director will also be responsible for building and developing Saint-Gobain's business in the Construction Chemicals and Infrastructure sectors in Denmark. This includes establishing the company's presence in the market, creating a strong brand identity, and driving sales growth.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute sales and application strategies to drive growth and revenue in the Danish market
  • Lead a team of sales professionals, including team leaders, specialists, and consultants
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer service
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and threats
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including new product development and market expansion
  • Work closely with the CEO and other senior leaders to drive business growth and strategy
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and sales reports to track performance and progress
  • Identify and mitigate risks, including market, customer, and operational risks
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies

What We Are Looking For

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales leadership, preferably in the construction or building materials industry
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and revenue in a similar role
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop insights
  • Experience working in a global company, with a strong understanding of cultural differences and nuances
  • Fluency in English, with additional languages an asset
  • Strong understanding of the Danish market, including key players, trends, and regulations
  • Experience with sales excellence methodologies and tools, including CRM systems and sales analytics

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with construction chemicals and infrastructure solutions
  • Knowledge of the Danish building codes and regulations
  • Certification in sales or marketing, such as a CSP or CMO designation
  • Experience working with digital sales tools, including social media and online platforms
  • Familiarity with Saint-Gobain's products and solutions
