About the Role

The Sales Account Director – Strategic Deals Team at Aptiv is a pivotal position designed for an experienced and dynamic sales professional. This role is focused on selling Wind River Cloud Platform, VxWorks, and eLxr solutions, requiring a proven track record of closing large-scale deals (>
0M TCV) and strong experience in collaborating with partners to deliver complex solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of enterprise sales, particularly in the Industrial, Telco, Automotive, and Government sectors.

As part of the Strategic Deals Team, the successful candidate will drive 10-15 large-scale engagements annually, supporting transformative initiatives in industries critical to Aptiv's growth strategy. The role entails developing and executing sales strategies for high-value opportunities, identifying and qualifying strategic opportunities, and acting as the primary account owner to deliver results.

The team context is highly collaborative, with a focus on sharing insights and coordinating efforts to maintain visibility on progress. The candidate will work closely with the Strategic Deals Team and other stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute sales strategies for high-value opportunities (
    0M+ TCV) focusing on Wind River Cloud Platform, VxWorks, and eLxr solutions.
  • Drive adoption of these solutions within target industries such as Enterprise, Automotive, Telco, Industrial, and Government.
  • Identify and qualify strategic opportunities in these verticals, acting as the primary account owner to orchestrate resources and partnerships for results.
  • Collaborate with strategic partners to design and deliver complex, integrated solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Leverage partner ecosystems to enhance the value proposition of Aptiv's offerings in competitive environments.
  • Build trusted relationships with C-suite executives, technical stakeholders, and business decision-makers to present solutions in the context of business value.
  • Navigate complex sales cycles and lead contract negotiations to closure.
  • Focus on 10-15 large engagements annually across key industries, prioritizing Enterprise sales.
  • Use CRM tools to track progress and maintain disciplined pipeline management.

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in enterprise sales, with a proven track record of consistently closing
    0M+ TCV deals.
  • Demonstrated success in selling complex solutions in Enterprise, Industrial, Telco, Automotive, and Government sectors.
  • Strong experience in collaborating with partners to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Deep understanding of the sales process, with the ability to navigate complex sales cycles.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with high-level executives.
  • Ability to leverage Excel and other sales tools to analyze data, track progress, and forecast sales opportunities.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
