About the Role
The Sales Development Representative role at Alteryx is a pivotal position that requires a unique blend of business acumen, sales savvy, and technical know-how. As a key member of the Field Sales organization, you will be responsible for generating qualified sales opportunities through a combination of inbound lead response, targeted outbound prospecting, and strategic account planning. Your day-to-day will involve close collaboration with Account Executives to identify and pursue new business opportunities, manage small deals and renewals, and develop a deep understanding of your assigned territory.The role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about sales, have a strong work ethic, and are eager to learn and grow with a leading analytics company. What You Will Do
- Respond to Marketing-generated leads and engage with potential customers to understand their business needs and identify sales opportunities
- Conduct targeted outbound prospecting to strategic accounts, using a combination of phone, email, and social media to establish relationships and generate interest in Alteryx solutions
- Develop and execute prospecting plans for assigned territories, leveraging account mapping and sales strategy to identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Collaborate with Account Executives to develop and execute sales strategies, and provide feedback and insights to improve sales performance
- Manage small deals and renewals, and work closely with customers to ensure satisfaction and identify upsell opportunities
- Conduct regular sales calls and meetings to build relationships, identify needs, and present solutions
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Alteryx products and services, including analytics, data science, and business intelligence solutions
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments, and use this knowledge to inform sales strategies and improve performance
- Participate in sales training and enablement programs to continuously improve sales skills and knowledge
What We Are Looking For
- 1-3 years of experience in B2B enterprise software sales or business development, with a proven track record of success in lead generation and sales opportunity creation
- Strong business acumen and the ability to quickly assess and understand a prospect or customer’s business environment and needs
- Experience with consultative and solution-selling sales methodologies, and the ability to apply this expertise to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and persuade executive-level decision-makers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex business problems and develop effective solutions
- Experience with CRM systems, sales automation tools, and data analytics platforms, with the ability to leverage these technologies to drive sales performance and customer insights
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced sales environment
- Bachelor's degree preferred, with a focus on business, marketing, or a related field

- Experience selling enterprise software solutions, business intelligence, or analytics software
- Knowledge of data science, machine learning, or related fields, with the ability to apply this knowledge to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction
