About the Role
The Sales Development Representative position at The Zebra is a critical component of the company's growth strategy, focusing on establishing and nurturing relationships with new insurance carriers. As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and qualifying potential carrier partners, ultimately driving revenue growth for the company. Your day-to-day activities will involve researching and outreach to carrier decision-makers, navigating complex corporate hierarchies, and securing introductory meetings for the Account Management team.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B sales or a related field, with experience in the InsurTech or insurance industry being a significant plus. You will be working closely with the Account Management team to ensure seamless handovers and collaborative relationship-building efforts.
What You Will Do
- Develop and execute a strategic outreach plan to engage new insurance carriers and expand the company's network
- Conduct thorough research on potential carrier partners to identify key decision-makers and tailor your approach accordingly
- Utilize CRM software, such as Salesforce, to manage and track interactions with carriers, ensuring data accuracy and timely follow-ups
- Foster initial relationships with carrier representatives, addressing their needs and presenting the value proposition of partnering with The Zebra
- Secure introductory meetings for the Account Management team, ensuring a smooth transition and maximizing the potential for long-term partnerships
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to refine the sales strategy, sharing insights and best practices to continuously improve outreach efforts
- Analyze sales data and performance metrics to optimize your approach and contribute to the team's overall success
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity, applying this knowledge to enhance your outreach and relationship-building strategies
- Participate in regular sales team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and stay aligned with company objectives

What We Are Looking For
- 1–3 years of experience in B2B sales or a related field, with a preference for candidates from the InsurTech or insurance industry
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
