Job Description

About the Role

As a Sales Development Representative at EDB, you will play a vital role in identifying and qualifying sales opportunities in South Asian countries. This involves conducting inbound and outbound prospecting, leveraging a consultative and entrepreneurial approach to engage prospects and drive PostgreSQL adoption. You will work closely with Account Executives to develop strategies that promote PostgreSQL adoption across these countries. Your role will involve utilizing various tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, 6sense, TechTarget, and ZoomInfo for prospecting.

The Sales Development Representative role reports directly to the SDR Director, APJ, and may involve occasional travel. What You Will Do

  • Conduct inbound and outbound prospecting to identify and qualify new sales opportunities in Singapore and other South Asian countries.
  • Proactively identify, qualify, and nurture leads through a consultative sales approach.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to develop strategies that drive PostgreSQL adoption across these countries.
  • Utilize tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, 6sense, TechTarget, and ZoomInfo for prospecting.
  • Support EDB's mission by contributing to the growth and success of the Singapore region.
  • Meet and exceed sales opportunity generation targets.
  • Engage with potential clients to understand their needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Participate in sales strategy discussions to improve overall sales performance.

What We Are Looking For

  • At least 3 years of experience as an SDR or BDR in South Asian Countries.
  • Proficiency in both English and Mandarin; proficiency in Cantonese is a plus.
  • A "hunter" mentality with a strong passion for outbound and inbound prospecting.
  • Experience in the database, SaaS, or cloud industry is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with the public sector or enterprise space is a plus.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven success in using prospecting tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, 6sense, TechTarget, ZoomInfo, and Salesloft.
  • Driven and results-oriented professional with a passion for exceeding goals.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
