Job Description

About the Role

The Sales Development Representative role at Constructor is a unique opportunity to join a pioneering company in the ecommerce sector. As a key member of the EMEA team, you will focus on the DACH region, working closely with a dedicated Enterprise Account Executive and the Marketing team to generate high-quality leads and start meaningful conversations with potential customers. This associate-level role offers a clear growth path, tailored to your goals, and is supported by comprehensive training to help you become a successful professional in sales or other areas within the company.

Day-to-day, you will engage in high-quality research to identify the right prospects within target accounts, personalizing every interaction based on a deep understanding of the prospect's industry, role, challenges, and business priorities. Your ability to initiate meaningful conversations centered on the customer's needs, pains, and goals will be crucial in building a strong customer pipeline.

Constructor's commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction is evident in its proprietary search engine, built in-house using transformers and generative LLMs. This technology powers everything from search to recommendations and shopping agents, making Constructor a leader in the ecommerce space. As a Sales Development Representative, you will be part of a team that values empathy, openness, curiosity, and continuous improvement, with a focus on metrics that matter.

What You Will Do

  • Personalize every interaction by deeply understanding a prospect’s industry, role, challenges, and business priorities.
  • Initiate meaningful conversations that center on the customer’s needs, pains, and goals, rather than pitching services upfront.
  • Act as a trusted first point of contact, representing Constructor's values.
  • Collaborate closely with Enterprise Account Executives and Marketing to ensure alignment on account strategy and messaging.
  • Share insights from prospect conversations to help refine the go-to-market approach and improve customer relevance.
  • Maintain accurate records of all outreach, research, and engagement in Salesforce, ensuring visibility and collaboration across the team.
  • Continuously experiment with messaging, channels, and approaches to improve resonance and conversion.
  • Participate in 10% on-site events, where you will engage with prospects and customers alongside the Constructor team.

What We Are Looking For

  • 1+ year(s) experience in sales or sales development.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English & German.
  • Basic comfort working with sales tools such as Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Outreach.
  • Based in Europe, with the ability to work across EMEA time zones.
  • Genuine interest in technology, ecommerce, and helping businesses solve complex challenges.
  • Understanding of MEDDPICC is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of the ecommerce industry and its trends.
  • Familiarity with AI and machine learning technologies.

Benefits and Perks

  • Competitive salary.
  • Opportunity to work with a cutting-edge, proprietary search engine.

  • Access to the latest sales tools and technologies.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance and paid time off.
  • Opportunity to be part of a global team with a strong presence in the ecommerce market.

How to Stand Out

  • Tip: Ensure you have a solid understanding of Salesforce and Excel, as these are key tools for the role.
  • Develop a strong portfolio that showcases your sales development experience, especially in the ecommerce sector.
  • Be prepared to discuss your approach to personalized outreach and how you stay updated on industry trends.
  • When negotiating salary, highlight your relevant experience and the value you can bring to the company's growth in the EMEA region.
  • Be mindful of the company culture and values during the interview process; showing empathy, openness, and a curiosity for continuous improvement can make you a more attractive candidate.
  • Prepare questions for the interview, such as the company's strategy for expanding in the DACH region and how this role contributes to that goal.
