Job Description

## About the Role As a Sales Development Representative at Gitlab, you will play a critical role in generating qualified leads and driving revenue growth. You will work closely with the Revenue Marketing team to identify and engage with target accounts, leveraging your knowledge of sales principles and business processes to introduce Gitlab's value proposition. The role is 100% remote, with the opportunity to work with a global team and contribute to the company's mission to accelerate digital transformation.

The Sales Development Representative role is a key part of Gitlab's go-to-market strategy, responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities. You will work with the Field and Digital Marketing teams to develop targeted lists, call strategies, and messaging to drive opportunities. Your success will be measured by your ability to meet or exceed SDR sourced Sales Accepted Opportunity (SAO) volume targets.

## What You Will Do - Manage inbound lead flow and conduct high-level discovery conversations with target accounts - Meet or exceed SDR sourced Sales Accepted Opportunity (SAO) volume targets - Collaborate with teammates to develop targeted lists, call strategies, and messaging to drive opportunities - Utilize business and industry knowledge to research accounts, identify key players, and generate interest - Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Gitlab's products and services - Work to have a variety of touches (call, email, social, etc.) on all leads in your assigned territory using Outreach.io - Manage, track, and report on all activities and results using Salesforce - Participate in documenting all processes in the Gitlab handbook and update as needed with your Sales Development Manager - Act as a mentor for new SDR hires in helping them navigate their key accounts

## Nice to Have - Experience working with Outreach.io or similar sales automation tools - Knowledge of DevOps and Gitlab's products and services - Familiarity with industry trends and market analysis
