About the Role

Twilio is seeking a highly skilled Sales Development Representative to join its team and focus on public sector accounts. As a Sales Development Representative, you will play a key role in driving lead qualification, new customer acquisition, and solution selling. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand customer requirements and develop tailored solutions using Twilio's communications API platform.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the public sector market and experience working with Salesforce. You will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do

  • Drive lead qualification and nurturing of named account customers across community and social services, healthcare, education, and the public sector
  • Be responsible for net new customer acquisition and driving new revenue while maintaining the highest levels of customer satisfaction
  • Work with customers to understand their business and technical requirements
  • Continually add net new contacts to Salesforce for existing accounts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams to address customer requirements and advise on digital communication strategies
  • Develop expertise in the social impact, nonprofit, and public sector markets to help prospective customers understand how others are leveraging Twilio's platform
  • Balance competing priorities and manage multiple projects/deals at the same time
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Twilio's communications API platform and its capabilities
  • Provide feedback to internal teams on market trends, customer needs, and product feedback

What We Are Looking For

  • At least 1 year of lead generating experience in a technical SaaS/CPaaS space, with a record of top performance
  • An understanding of the public sector market and experience working with government agencies, non-profits, or educational institutions
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce and experience with sales automation tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to make complex technical and financial details sound simple
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
  • Experience working in a remote-first environment and managing multiple projects simultaneously

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with AI-powered sales tools and sales analytics platforms
  • Knowledge of cloud-based communication platforms and APIs
  • Certification in sales or marketing, such as HubSpot Sales or Google Analytics
  • Experience working in a startup environment or a company with a strong culture of innovation
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and Scrum frameworks
