About the Role

The Sales Development Representative position at Sunrun is a pivotal role that bridges the gap between potential customers and the company's innovative solar energy solutions. As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for managing a high volume of inbound and outbound calls, educating prospective customers about the benefits of solar energy, and guiding them through the sales process. What You Will Do

  • Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls from prospective customers inquiring about solar energy products and services.
  • Qualify prospective customers by adhering to call quality standards and exploring their goals and eligibility for solar energy solutions.
  • Educate potential customers about the benefits of solar electricity and Sunrun's services, ensuring they understand the value proposition and are knowledgeable about the sales agreement.
  • Review prospect's roof material to determine eligibility for solar and manage solar prospect inquiries via email and online chat.
  • Overcome objections with integrity and create reasonable expectations with prospective customers regarding the steps required to obtain a solar system from Sunrun.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to achieve sales targets and contribute to the company's growth and success.
  • Utilize Salesforce and other CRM tools to manage customer interactions, track sales performance, and analyze data to improve sales strategies.
  • Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and some holiday shifts, to ensure coverage of customer inquiries.

What We Are Looking For

  • High School Diploma required; a degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in a call center environment, with a focus on sales or customer service.
  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in another language is a plus.
  • Strong work ethic, ambition to succeed, and a results-driven mindset.
  • Proficiency in email, Google suite, and CRM tools, with Salesforce experience being highly desirable.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to change, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
