About the Role
The Sales Director - Canada role at Batory Foods is a key leadership position responsible for driving sustainable, profitable growth across key customer accounts throughout Canada. This role will oversee a team of Account Managers focused on building strategic partnerships and managing complex customer relationships within the food, beverage, and ingredient industries. As a member of the leadership team, the Sales Director will be accountable for developing and executing a national sales strategy that supports revenue growth, customer retention, market expansion, and profitability objectives.The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Canadian market, as well as the ability to coach and develop a high-performing sales team. They will be responsible for creating and implementing strategic account plans, optimizing customer engagement, managing sales forecasting and pipeline development, and overseeing budgeting and expense management.
The Sales Director will be part of a dynamic team that values relationships, improvement, and customer satisfaction. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize account revenue growth and customer satisfaction, and will be responsible for recruiting, managing, and coaching sales professionals to deliver profitable growth.
What You Will Do
- Create and implement strategic account plans to drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction
- Develop and execute a national sales strategy that supports revenue growth, customer retention, market expansion, and profitability objectives
- Coach and develop a high-performing sales team to engage customers at the highest strategic levels
- Identify new business opportunities and deliver innovative solutions that create long-term value for both customers and the organization
- Manage sales forecasting and pipeline development to ensure accurate and timely sales forecasting
- Oversee budgeting and expense management to ensure alignment with the company's overall growth strategy
- Recruit, manage, and coach sales professionals to deliver profitable growth
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to optimize account revenue growth and customer satisfaction
- Develop and deliver accurate and timely quarterly and annual sales forecasts
- Ensure customer engagement strategies are aligned with Batory's mission, values, and culture
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- 8-10 years of progressive sales experience in the food, beverage, and ingredient industries
- Strong change agent sales leadership experience at the first or second-line level
- Strategic account management experience, with a deep understanding of customer profiles and penetration strategies
- Experience with CRM adoption and usage, pipeline development, and business planning/forecasting
- Proven track record of building and managing high-performing sales teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze sales data and develop strategic plans
- Experience with budgeting and expense management, with the ability to manage sales forecasting and pipeline development
Nice to Have
- Experience with sales forecasting and pipeline development tools, such as Salesforce or HubSpot
- Knowledge of the Canadian market, with a deep understanding of the food, beverage, and ingredient industries
- Experience with strategic account planning and execution, with a focus on customer satisfaction and revenue growth
- Certification in sales leadership or a related field, such as a Master's degree in Business Administration
- Experience with coaching and developing sales professionals, with a focus on delivering profitable growth
