About the Role

As a Sales Director at Fivetran, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and managing customer relationships in the EMEA region. This is a high-visibility role that requires a deep understanding of the data infrastructure market and the ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans. You will be working closely with the sales team, as well as cross-functional teams such as marketing and customer success, to identify new business opportunities and expand existing customer relationships.

As a Sales Director, you will be instrumental in helping customers achieve their data-driven goals and driving revenue growth for the company.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales leadership, with a proven track record of success in managing and growing sales teams. You will be expected to have a deep understanding of the sales process, from prospecting to closing deals, and be able to provide guidance and support to your team members.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth in the EMEA region
  • Build and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities, including identifying and pursuing new leads and expanding existing customer relationships
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as marketing and customer success, to identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Provide guidance and support to sales team members, including coaching and mentoring to help them achieve their sales targets
  • Negotiate and close deals with customers, including developing and presenting sales proposals and negotiating contract terms
  • Conduct market research and analysis to stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal team members
  • Work closely with the sales operations team to develop and implement sales enablement tools and processes
  • Provide regular sales updates and forecasts to senior management, including pipeline reviews and sales performance metrics

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in sales leadership, with a proven track record of success in managing and growing sales teams
  • Strong understanding of the data infrastructure market, including trends, competitors, and customer needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal team members
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze sales data and develop strategic sales plans
  • Experience with sales enablement tools and processes, including CRM and sales automation software
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to negotiate and close deals with customers
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a strong sense of urgency and a focus on results
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills, with the ability to provide guidance and support to sales team members

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data analytics and visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Knowledge of sales methodologies, such as SPIN or Challenger selling
  • Experience with sales forecasting and pipeline management tools, such as Salesforce or HubSpot
