About the Role
The Sales Director position at Fivetran is a pivotal role in driving the company's growth in Japan. As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for managing the customer base, identifying new business opportunities, and deepening existing relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Japanese market, a proven track record in sales, and excellent Excel skills.Fivetran's mission is to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. The Sales Director will be part of a dynamic team that is committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and customer success, to drive growth and revenue in the Japanese market.
What You Will Do
- Build, manage, and close your own pipeline of companies that will benefit from Fivetran's data infrastructure solutions
- Manage and deepen the Fivetran footprint in existing accounts, optimizing impact on these companies
- Engage with technology partners and ecosystem service providers to optimize impact and reach in the region
- Lead and contribute to team projects that develop the sales process
- Identify new business opportunities and grow existing relationships
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets
- Collaborate with the sales team to share best practices and industry insights
- Provide feedback and insights to the product and marketing teams to inform product development and marketing strategies
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitors, applying this knowledge to drive sales growth
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams

- Proven track record of success in sales, with a strong understanding of the Japanese market
- Excellent Excel skills, with the ability to analyze data and drive insights
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships

- Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of the data infrastructure and analytics landscape

- Ability to travel, as required, to meet with customers and partners
