About the Role

The Sales Director, Japan is a critical role at Fivetran, responsible for managing and growing the company's customer base in Japan. This involves developing and executing a sales strategy, managing a pipeline of potential customers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive growth and revenue. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Japanese market, a strong network of contacts, and a proven track record of success in sales leadership roles. As a Sales Director at Fivetran, you will be working closely with the regional sales team, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify new business opportunities, develop and execute sales strategies, and build strong relationships with customers and partners. You will also be responsible for providing feedback and insights to the product team to help inform the development of new products and features. What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy for the Japanese market, including identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with customers and partners, and driving revenue growth
  • Manage a pipeline of potential customers, including prospecting, qualifying, and closing deals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, and customer success, to drive growth and revenue
  • Provide feedback and insights to the product team to help inform the development of new products and features
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and other stakeholders
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and other sales materials
  • Conduct market research and analysis to stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including expansion into new markets and industries
  • Work closely with the regional sales team to share best practices, knowledge, and expertise

What We Are Looking For

  • 4+ years of experience in sales leadership roles, with a proven track record of success in driving revenue growth and building strong relationships with customers and partners
  • Strong understanding of the Japanese market, including industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, partners, and other stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop insights to inform sales strategies
  • Experience working with data analytics, sales automation, and other sales tools and technologies
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on innovation, collaboration, and customer satisfaction
