Job Description

About the Role

The Sales Enablement Associate at Marqeta plays a critical role in supporting the company's go-to-market teams. This involves creating and maintaining high-quality content that enables sellers, partner managers, and solution consultants to effectively communicate Marqeta's value proposition to clients and partners. The role is highly collaborative, requiring close interaction with Sales, Product Marketing, Solutions Engineering, and Partnerships to ensure that content is accurate, current, and aligned with Marqeta's overall messaging architecture.

The Sales Enablement Associate will be responsible for a wide range of content types, including product one-pagers, pitch decks, competitive briefs, customer stories, and solution overviews. These materials must be tailored to various audiences within the fintech, payments, and embedded finance sectors. Given the complex and technical nature of Marqeta's offerings, the ability to translate intricate concepts into clear and compelling narratives is essential.

Marqeta operates on a 'Flexible First' model, which means this role can be performed remotely from anywhere in the United States, or from the company's offices in Oakland, CA, or New York City, with the option to work from home or in-office as preferred.

What You Will Do

  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives for sellers and customers.
  • Support readiness for new product releases by developing content that explains capabilities, use cases, and differentiation.
  • Maintain the sales content library to ensure materials are organized, searchable, and version-controlled.
  • Partner with Product Marketing and Solutions Engineering to gather insights and convert them into structured, accurate enablement assets.
  • Assist with onboarding content, including role-specific guides, micro-learning modules, and process documentation.
  • Track content usage and feedback to identify gaps and continuously improve content quality and relevance.
  • Support enablement programs such as sales training, product deep dives, and GTM readiness cycles.

What We Are Looking For

  • Proficiency with presentation tools (PowerPoint, Google Slides) and comfort with enablement platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple content requests.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting sales teams in a fintech, payments, or financial services environment.
  • Familiarity with enablement platforms or LMS tools.
  • Ability to create visual or multimedia content (graphics, diagrams, short videos).
  • Interest in learning sales methodologies, product-led growth motions, and fintech regulatory frameworks.

  • Collaborative and dynamic work environment with a team that values innovation and creativity.
  • Professional development opportunities, including training and education support to help you grow in your career.
  • Access to cutting-edge technologies and tools to support your work.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits package tailored to support your well-being and career aspirations.
  • The chance to be part of a company that is shaping the future of fintech and payments.

How to Stand Out

  • Develop a portfolio that showcases your ability to create engaging sales content and simplify complex technical information.
  • Familiarize yourself with fintech concepts and stay updated on industry trends to stand out in your application.
