About the Role

The Sales Engineer role at Acryl Data is a critical position that bridges the technical and business aspects of the company's SaaS offerings. As a key member of the sales team, you will work closely with account executives to drive sales growth and provide technical expertise to customers and prospects. What You Will Do

  • Partner with account executives to secure new business and drive sales growth
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
  • Engage with prospects to understand their needs and gather requirements
  • Build and present demos and presentations tailored to specific customer needs
  • Shape Proof of Concept success criteria and educate prospects on implementation and usage of the product
  • Marshall internal cross-functional resources and orchestrate actions to help close deals
  • Stay on top of industry trends and competitive analysis
  • Gather customer feedback and work closely with the product team to enhance the product offering
  • Help sales teams qualify prospects and build relationships with customers and prospects
  • Articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer, preferably in a B2B SaaS or open-source software company
  • Strong technical skills, with experience in software development, databases, networking, and cloud computing
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Strong desire to be an enthusiastic member of a growing sales team
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Proven ability to build relationships with customers and prospects and to understand their business needs and pain points
  • Familiarity with open-source software and the open-source community is a plus
  • Experience demonstrating software solutions to enterprise-level clients
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
