Job Description

About the Role

The Sales Senior Manager position at Workday is a unique opportunity to lead a team of sales personnel handling new Individual Medicare Advantage and Part D sales virtually. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for driving HealthSpring's Local Broker Strategy and implementing new sales goals for the Virtual Broker Management team on a quarterly basis. The role requires a deep understanding of managed care products, processes, and trends, as well as the ability to develop and analyze reports to inform sales strategies.

The successful candidate will be a seasoned sales professional with experience in managing virtual teams and driving sales growth through effective broker relationships. You will be working closely with local and national sales teams, as well as matrix partners across the company, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive growth and expansion of the virtual broker team
  • Manage and analyze sales performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with local and national sales teams to ensure alignment and effective communication
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, downline agencies, and top-line FMO partners
  • Utilize Salesforce to track sales performance, customer interactions, and market trends
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to sales team members to drive skill development and sales growth
  • Participate in sales forecasting and planning to inform business decisions
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to inform sales strategies
  • Develop and deliver sales reports and presentations to leadership and stakeholder groups

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of managed care sales, account management, or servicing experience
  • Thorough knowledge of managed care products, processes, and trends
  • People management, leadership, and mentoring skills
  • Analytical and system skills to develop and analyze reports and prepare presentations for leadership
  • Verbal and written communications skills, including negotiation, presentation, and business writing
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities and manage through change
  • Experience addressing customer, broker, and employee needs
  • Knowledge of industry and business intelligence
  • Current, valid State Insurance License or ability to obtain within 90 days

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge and experience with sales systems, such as Salesforce.com
  • 2 years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience
  • Experience building strong local broker, downline agency, and top-line FMO relations
