About the Role
The Sales Lead, Korea role is a critical position within OpenAI's Go To Market (GTM) team, responsible for driving the overall sales strategy for OpenAI in Korea. This leadership role will be responsible for recruiting and leading a team of sales professionals, achieving successful deployments with customers, and contributing to the product roadmap and other corporate strategies. The ideal candidate will possess significant sales leadership experience and a comprehensive understanding of AI technologies.The GTM team is a diverse group of Sales, Solutions, Support, Marketing, and Partnership professionals working together to create valuable solutions that will help bring AI to as many users as possible. As a Sales Lead, you will be working closely with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, developer relations, operations, and core GTM teams, to guide and mentor a sales team towards achieving business objectives.
What You Will Do
- Lead a team of Account Directors to achieve sales targets and expand OpenAI's customer base in Korea
- Partner with Technical Success to build and execute complex customer programs and projects
- Manage consumption revenue forecasts to ensure accurate sales projections
- Closely monitor the industry landscape, including people, competitors, partners, and market trends, to contribute to product roadmap and other corporate strategies
- Support the recruitment and onboarding of other teammates to ensure a smooth transition and knowledge transfer
- Support the development of company culture and values to foster a positive and inclusive work environment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive sales strategy and achieve business objectives
- Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with key customers and partners
- Deliver compelling executive-level presentations to showcase OpenAI's AI solutions
- Gather, distill, and process complex market intelligence to inform sales strategy and product development
What We Are Looking For
- 8+ years of experience leading Enterprise Sales teams, with a proven track record of success
- 15+ years of experience in technology and B2B business, with a strong understanding of AI technologies
- Experience designing and executing complex deal strategies, with a focus on customer-centric solutions
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to guide and mentor a sales team
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver compelling executive-level presentations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather, distill, and process complex market intelligence
- Experience selling platform-as-a-service and/or software-as-a-service at a product-led growth company
- Strong passion for or deep curiosity in artificial intelligence, with a desire to help deploy AI solutions that benefit humanity
