About the Role
Apollo Education Systems is on a mission to transform how schools utilize data to enhance student outcomes. As a Sales Representative, you will play a critical role in driving the adoption of Apollo's modern platform, designed to replace legacy SIS systems. Your expertise in edtech sales and customer relationship management will be instrumental in identifying, prospecting, and engaging K-12 districts and charter schools throughout California. You will work closely with the marketing, product, and customer success teams to develop and execute sales strategies that drive growth and revenue.

What You Will Do
- Identify, prospect, and engage K-12 districts and charter schools throughout California
- Qualify leads and manage a sales territory with a defined quota
- Understand pain points around legacy SIS systems (support, scalability, data integrity) and position Apollo as a superior alternative
- Prepare proposals, respond to RFPs, negotiate contracts, and close deals
- Partner with marketing, product, and customer success teams on campaigns, webinars, and district events
- Track all activity and maintain pipeline accuracy in HubSpot
- Stay current on K-12 trends, regulations (especially in California), local procurement rules, and competitor offerings
- Develop and execute sales strategies that drive growth and revenue
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in the K-12 education sector
- Collaborate with the product team to provide feedback on the platform and identify areas for improvement
What We Are Looking For
- 3-5 years of experience in edtech SaaS or K-12 software sales, preferably selling to school districts and/or charter networks
- Proven success meeting and exceeding quota in a territory sales model
- Deep understanding of California's educational system (COEs, school districts, charters) is strongly preferred
- Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM platforms
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, or a related field
- Experience with data-driven decision making and sales analytics
Nice to Have
- Experience with sales automation tools and technologies
- Knowledge of the K-12 education sector, including trends, regulations, and procurement rules
- Familiarity with cloud-based software and data management platforms
- Certification in sales or a related field (e.g. HubSpot Sales Software)
