About the Role
The Sales Strategy & Operations role at Openai is a central position that will guide the company's go-to-market strategy and drive operational efficiency. As part of the GTM team, you will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to develop and implement strategies that help customers leverage Openai's AI products. This role is critical to the company's mission to build safe and beneficial artificial general intelligence.The GTM team at Openai is composed of sales, solutions, support, marketing, and partnership professionals who collaborate to create valuable solutions for customers. As a trusted advisor to GTM leadership, you will provide data-driven insights, manage core operating cadences, and lead high-impact projects that influence customer engagement and business scaling.
What You Will Do
- Design, build, and manage operating rhythms such as forecasting, pipeline council, big deal reviews, and MBRs/QBRs
- Conduct strategic analyses to identify trends and opportunities for process optimization
- Collaborate with GTM leadership and stakeholders to develop go-to-market strategies and resource plans
- Lead strategic projects to improve efficiency and effectiveness across the revenue organization
- Partner with technical teams to implement processes systematically
- Work closely with the data team to ensure data accuracy and availability for revenue-related activities
- Run the fiscal launch process in partnership with finance and planning teams
- Develop and manage territories, compensation plans, and quotas for GTM teams
- Analyze sales performance and provide insights to inform business decisions
What We Are Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in revenue operations or strategy at a high-growth technology company
- Proficiency in Salesforce.com and data analysis tools such as SQL and Excel
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience building territories, compensation plans, and setting quotas for GTM teams
- Exceptional project management skills with experience leading complex initiatives
- Strong communication skills and executive presence
- Understanding of the AI landscape and Openai's applications
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and work autonomously
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to operate with high horsepower, adapt to frequent context switching, and work on multiple projects simultaneously
