About the Role
The Sales Training Manager position at DePuy Synthes is a key role in the Sports Medicine Commercial Education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing training programs for the sales organization, aligning with the global learning strategy and supporting the US region business needs. This role will work closely with various stakeholders, including Global Education, Regional Marketing, Sales Leadership, and Healthcare Compliance, to deliver educational programs that elevate the proficiency of the sales organization.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales training and development, with experience in the medical device industry. They will be able to apply adult learning principles and professional facilitation skills to create engaging and interactive learning experiences. As a leader, they will guide, coach, and mentor direct reports, fostering their professional development and enhancing team performance.
What You Will Do
- Collaborate with Education, US Sales, Regional Marketing, and other functional leaders to build and implement overall training plans
- Design, develop, and execute training programs for the sales organization
- Apply adult learning principles and professional facilitation skills in all learning programs
- Work with Global Education to align training programs with the global learning strategy
- Partner with Regional Marketing to develop marketing campaigns that support sales training initiatives
- Coordinate with Sales Leadership to ensure training programs meet business objectives
- Collaborate with Healthcare Compliance to ensure all training programs are compliant with regulatory requirements
- Guide, coach, and lead direct reports
- Foster professional development and enhance team performance through effective mentorship and support
- Implement learning strategies that support business objectives
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvement
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in sales training and development
- Strong background in the medical device industry
- Experience with adult learning principles and professional facilitation skills
- Proven track record of designing and delivering engaging and interactive learning experiences
- Excellent leadership and mentoring skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
