About the Role
As a Salesforce Associate Engineer at Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for developing and implementing innovative Salesforce solutions. Your expertise in Salesforce technologies such as Apex, REST API, and SQL will be crucial in delivering high-quality outcomes. You will work collaboratively with other engineers to design, develop, and implement solutions that meet the company's IT needs.In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a broad scope of IT projects, including contributing code and fixes to existing software projects, providing break-fix and troubleshooting support, and participating in low-level design for product areas. Your ability to work independently and think critically will be essential in solving complex Salesforce requests and developing core technology solutions.

What You Will Do
- Design and develop Salesforce solutions that meet the company's IT needs
- Participate in low-level design for product areas and contribute to the development of core technology solutions
- Collaborate with other engineers to deliver high-quality outcomes
- Provide break-fix and troubleshooting support for IT products
- Develop and implement solutions that improve the product lifecycle
- Participate in team collaboration sessions to provide technical expertise and solve problems
- Work independently to solve complex Salesforce requests
- Develop and maintain knowledge of Salesforce technologies, including Apex, REST API, and SQL
- Participate in team support rotation and build knowledge on focus subsystems
- Model Thrivent's leadership competencies, including courage, collaboration, and commitment
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical field or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of Salesforce Apex experience, including triggers, REST API, classes, and async tooling
- Knowledge of version and revision control practices and procedures
- Knowledge of systems and software design concepts, including object-oriented programming
- Experience with querying databases for data lookup/update, including SOQL, SOSL, and SQL
- Ability to work independently and think critically
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to learn new Salesforce technologies and stay up-to-date with the ecosystem releases
Nice to Have
- Financial Services industry experience
- Salesforce platform developer and/or admin certifications
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies
- Experience with cloud-based technologies, including AWS or Azure
