About the Role
The Salesforce Developer position at Mercury is designed to strengthen the company's technical capabilities, particularly in building, refining, and maintaining core GTM systems. This role is crucial for implementing platform capabilities that enhance the efficiency and durability of the company's operations. The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with various teams, including Architecture, Data, TPM, and Systems Experience, to translate ideas into tangible outcomes.The role's significance extends beyond technical implementation, as it also involves reducing tool sprawl by integrating functionalities directly into Salesforce and adjacent systems. This approach not only streamlines operations but also contributes to the overall reliability and performance of GTM systems.
What You Will Do
- Develop and maintain Salesforce functionality, including flows, automation, objects, and permissions, to ensure seamless operations.
- Implement architectural designs accurately, adhering to the intended vision without deviation.
- Enhance the reliability, performance, and maintainability of GTM systems to support business growth.
- Identify and reduce tech debt, replacing fragile workarounds with durable solutions to ensure long-term efficiency.
- Partner with Data Strategy to ensure the generation of clean data, crucial for informed decision-making.
- Support integrations and tooling across the revenue stack to facilitate comprehensive revenue management.
- Participate in incident response and platform debugging to minimize downtime and optimize system health.
- Assist in migrating functionalities into core platforms, reducing the need for external tools and enhancing integration.
What We Are Looking For
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in Salesforce development or platform engineering roles, demonstrating a deep understanding of Salesforce ecosystems.
- Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce automation, flows, object models, permissions, and integrations, showcasing the ability to work with complex systems.
- The capacity to own and maintain API-based integrations between Salesforce and other systems, ensuring smooth data exchange and functionality.
- A proven ability to build and refactor systems with durability, performance, and maintainability in mind, reflecting a forward-thinking approach to technical development.
