About the Role

The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Architect position at Sunrun is a critical role that entails designing, implementing, and optimizing marketing automation solutions to enhance customer engagement. As a key member of the marketing team, you will be responsible for leveraging the Salesforce Marketing Cloud suite to develop and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving the company's marketing automation strategy forward, ensuring seamless integration with other systems, and providing data-driven insights to inform marketing decisions.

What You Will Do

  • Integrate, connect, and utilize the Salesforce suite, including but not limited to CRM, Marketing Cloud, and Datorama.
  • Build, test, and deploy marketing campaigns, including personalized and dynamic content via email and SMS.
  • Demonstrate a strong command of technical details to translate proposed solutions into functional specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and support implemented Salesforce applications.
  • Leverage Journey Builder to deliver multi-touch communications.
  • Create SQL queries in Automation Studio to segment audiences.
  • Maintain best practices for Marketing Automation Platforms, including troubleshooting, naming conventions, list management, etc.
  • Provide troubleshooting and first-line support for stakeholders working on deliverables and encountering errors or technical issues with the SFMC platform.
  • Ensure flawless execution of marketing campaigns in SFMC.
  • Leverage marketing automation tools to develop transactional, promotional, and informational content strategies that maximize customer retention.
  • Design the data flow for various campaigns that involve cross-channel platforms.

What We Are Looking For

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management, or a closely related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Software Developer using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce, Pardot, JIRA, Asana, JavaScript, SQL, HTML, CSS, AMPScript, Email Studio, Mobile Studio, Audience Builder, Automation Studio, Content Builder, AWS, Snowflake, Data Cloud, Google Analytics, Tableau, MovableInk, REST API, SOAP API, MS SQL Server, and MS Access.
  • Strong understanding of marketing automation principles and best practices.
  • Experience with data analysis and segmentation.
  • Familiarity with cross-channel marketing platforms and their integration.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

  • Certification in Salesforce Marketing Cloud or related technologies.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy or a similar industry.
