This key role involves collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements for platform enhancements and fixes, ensuring the system's functionality and efficiency. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving the company's next phase of innovation, working closely with a high-performing team in a supportive environment.

The role requires a unique blend of technical and business skills, as you will be part consultant, part developer. You will need to be comfortable working with business stakeholders to understand underlying requirements and be very familiar with the Salesforce platform, common patterns, and best practices. Your work will directly impact the company's ability to provide legal support to individuals going through sensitive family-related legal issues, making your contribution both challenging and rewarding.

Given the nature of the work, flexibility and autonomy are core components of this role. As an independent contractor, you will have the flexibility to manage your time, working remotely and aligning your schedule with AU business hours for collaboration purposes. This setup allows for a better work-life balance and the opportunity to work in a setting that suits your productivity needs.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements for platform enhancements and fixes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Perform debugging, root cause analysis, and resolve technical issues on the Salesforce platform to maintain system integrity.
  • Investigate and resolve data discrepancies to ensure data integrity, which is crucial for informed decision-making.
  • Deliver solutions using declarative Salesforce tools (Flow, Validation Rules, Permissions) to enhance system functionality.
  • Undertake light Apex and customization as needed to cater to specific business requirements.
  • Support and troubleshoot system integrations to ensure seamless operations.
  • Manage your workload and priorities using Jira, ensuring transparency and efficiency in project management.
  • Document fixes, technical findings, and best practices to contribute to the team's knowledge base and continuous improvement.
  • Engage directly with key business stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations to drive business growth.
  • Participate in discussions on future developments and strategic planning, bringing a technical perspective to business decisions.

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of proven experience in a Salesforce support, analyst, or consultant role, demonstrating a deep understanding of the platform.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable communicating directly with stakeholders to understand requirements, manage expectations, and share findings.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce declarative tools, especially Flow, and basic to intermediate skills in Apex and/or Lightning Web Components (LWC).
  • Experience with Jira or similar project management tools, with the ability to manage workload and priorities effectively.
  • Familiarity with the wider tech stack, including CI/CD (e.g., Gearset), version control (e.g., GitHub), OmniStudio, JotForm, HubSpot, Slack, AWS S3, and Dialpad.
  • Salesforce Administrator and either Platform Developer I (PD1) or equivalent certification(s), highlighting your technical competency.
  • A proactive learner, keen to grow your career in a collaborative team environment, with a passion for innovation and improvement.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in a legal or similar professional services industry, with an understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities.
  • Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies, enhancing your ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Basic understanding of data analytics and visualization tools, to support business insights and decision-making.
  • Previous experience working remotely or as an independent contractor, demonstrating self-motivation and discipline.

Benefits and Perks

  • Competitive compensation package, reflecting your value to the organization.
  • The opportunity to work with a forward-thinking company that values innovation and employee growth.
  • Flexible and remote work arrangements, allowing for a better work-life balance and increased productivity.
  • Access to a collaborative and supportive team environment, with opportunities for professional development and learning.
  • The chance to work on a critical business platform, making a tangible impact on the company's mission and objectives.
  • Participation in a dynamic and growing industry, with potential for long-term career growth and advancement.
  • Annual performance reviews and opportunities for salary adjustments, ensuring your compensation reflects your contributions and market standards.
  • A comprehensive onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition into the role and the company.

How to Stand Out

  • Ensure you have a solid understanding of Salesforce and its ecosystem, as this will be crucial for success in the role.
  • Develop a strong portfolio showcasing your Salesforce projects and accomplishments to stand out during the application process.
  • Practice your communication skills, as the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders is key.
  • Be prepared to discuss your experience with declarative Salesforce tools and Apex, highlighting specific examples from your past roles.
  • Consider obtaining additional Salesforce certifications to enhance your credibility and demonstrate your commitment to professional development.
  • When negotiating salary, research the market rate for similar positions and be prepared to discuss your expectations based on your experience and qualifications.
