About the Role

The Scheduling Director at MasTec Industrial will play a critical role in overseeing all scheduling and planning functions within the Project Controls Department. This position will lead a team of scheduling professionals, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure the delivery of high-quality scheduling services. As a key contributor to the company's strategic leadership team, the Scheduling Director will collaborate with other departments to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of scheduling principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This role will require strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of scheduling professionals to achieve exceptional results.

The Scheduling Director will be responsible for developing and implementing standard scheduling processes, procedures, and templates, ensuring seamless integration with cost, change, and forecast data. This will involve collaborating with other Project Controls functions, such as cost engineering and project management, to drive business outcomes.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and supervise the scheduling team, providing clear expectations, direction, and performance management
  • Assign project schedules to appropriate scheduling personnel based on project needs and team capacity
  • Provide leadership, training, and mentoring to scheduling staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles effectively
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the scheduling team
  • Collaborate with other Project Controls functions to ensure seamless integration of scheduling with cost, change, and forecast data
  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve standard scheduling processes, procedures, and templates
  • Supervise the preparation, maintenance, and review of baseline schedules, project forecasts, progress schedules, recovery plans, and acceleration/delay scenarios
  • Perform schedule analysis and provide timely reporting of schedule performance to internal and external stakeholders
  • Support project teams with schedule claims, change orders, and forensic schedule analysis as needed
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of schedules prepared by project teams
  • Develop, implement, and maintain standard scheduling tools and systems, including Primavera P6
