## About the Role As a Script Writer at Martell Media, you will be responsible for crafting compelling copy and scripts for various digital platforms, including social media, YouTube, and other online channels. Your primary goal will be to create engaging content that resonates with the target audience and aligns with the company's brand voice. You will work closely with the Social Producer and Creative Producer to ensure that written content is consistent with visual direction and platform strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of what makes great content and be able to write in distinct brand voices without relying on generic or AI-sounding content. You will be expected to maintain a strong and consistent brand voice across all channels, while also integrating AI tools to increase output and improve workflow efficiency. The Script Writer role is a key part of the Martell Media team, and you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from social media campaigns to long-form video scripts.
## What You Will Do - Write platform-native captions for Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, YouTube, and Threads - Develop compelling hooks, CTAs, and caption structures that drive engagement and retention - Adapt tone, structure, and formatting based on platform-specific best practices - Maintain a strong and consistent brand voice across all channels - Write or refine scripts for YouTube episodes, short-form videos, and branded content - Develop repeatable written frameworks for recurring content formats and series - Support the Creative Producer with written briefs, outlines, and episode structures - Write titles, descriptions, and metadata optimized for SEO, AEO, and GEO discoverability - Collaborate with the marketing team to align messaging with funnel strategy and campaign goals - Support paid ad creative copy when needed in collaboration with marketing
## What We Are Looking For - 3+ years of experience in script writing or a related field - Strong portfolio of written work, including scripts and social media content - Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style to different platforms and audiences - Experience with AI tools and software, such as language generators and content optimization platforms - Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment and communicate effectively with team members - Strong understanding of brand voice and tone, with the ability to maintain consistency across all channels - Experience with SEO principles and practices, including keyword research and optimization - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and adjust content strategies accordingly
