About the Role

The Scrum Master position at Blackstone Talent Group is a 6-month contract role that plays a pivotal role in supporting Agile delivery for assigned teams. Under the guidance of the Senior Scrum Master Lead, the successful candidate will facilitate team-level Agile ceremonies, ensuring seamless project execution. This role is integral to the company's commitment to adopting and implementing Agile methodologies across its operations.

The day-to-day responsibilities of a Scrum Master are varied and challenging, requiring a unique blend of organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. What You Will Do

  • Facilitate team-level Agile ceremonies such as daily standups, sprint planning, refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Maintain team boards and delivery artifacts, ensuring work is current and accurately tracked.
  • Assist with sprint forecasting, capacity planning, and backlog readiness.
  • Track and escalate impediments, risks, and dependencies to the Senior Scrum Master Lead.
  • Follow through on action items and monitor progress.
  • Help monitor and report basic delivery metrics and support status updates.
  • Promote Agile best practices and facilitate the adoption of consistent working agreements.
  • Assist in building working relationships with IT team members and business stakeholders.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas for process improvements.

What We Are Looking For

  • 1-3 years of experience in an Agile delivery role.
  • Working knowledge of Scrum fundamentals and Agile principles.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to raise risks/issues early and effectively.
  • Experience with Agile delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow.
  • Scrum Master certification is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Excel, as it is a key skill for this role.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a similar industry or with similar technologies.
  • Knowledge of other Agile frameworks and methodologies.
