About the Role
Inflection is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join their remote team, focusing on the development and maintenance of their B2B marketing automation platform. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for leading projects, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to the overall technical strategy of the company. Your expertise in backend development, database systems, and cloud platforms will be crucial in driving the growth and scalability of Inflection's platform.The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of software development principles, a keen eye for detail, and excellent communication skills. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and sales, to ensure that the platform meets the needs of Inflection's clients. As a senior software engineer at Inflection, you will be expected to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field, attending conferences, and participating in online forums to maintain your expertise. What You Will Do
- Design, develop, and test software applications, focusing on backend development and database systems
- Lead projects and mentor junior software engineers to ensure timely and high-quality delivery
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and API documentation
- Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned with the company's technical vision
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, working closely with the support team to ensure prompt resolution
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in software engineering, attending conferences and participating in online forums
- Identify areas for improvement in the platform and propose solutions to enhance its performance, security, and scalability
- Develop and maintain automated testing scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of the platform
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment and operation of the platform
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of professional software development experience, with a focus on backend development
- At least 1 year of experience as a module or project lead
- Proficiency in Java, Python, or Golang
- Strong understanding of database systems, including data modeling and query optimization
- Hands-on experience with message brokers, such as RabbitMQ or Apache Kafka
- Experience with cloud platforms, including AWS or Google Cloud
- Strong understanding of containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes
- Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams
Nice to Have
- Experience with Agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD
- Knowledge of security best practices, including encryption and access control
