## About the Role Quanata, LLC is seeking a highly skilled SDET, Backend to join their team in developing innovative insurance solutions. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring that API components of the backend work according to customer needs, following agile methodologies and participating in scrum meetings and software quality audits. ## What You Will Do - Follow agile methodologies and participate in scrum meetings and software quality audits for all phases of SDLC - Create tests for large modules or components and design features or feature areas - Perform business requirement analysis by thoroughly understanding Project Design Documents and Business Requirement Documents - Develop scalable and robust test automation frameworks and scripts using Python, Pytest, BDD frameworks, and PyCharm - Execute integration, regression, and performance testing using industry-standard tools - Research new or better alternate automated testing tools - Use TestRail Test Management tool or equivalent to maintain test suites, manage automation test results, and analyze test failures - Work independently and collaboratively across teams to drive quality initiatives and lead detailed software quality discussions - Demonstrate clarity of thought in designing end-to-end test scenarios to work through limited information and vague problem definitions - Mentor other quality engineers - Perform other duties as assigned
## What We Are Looking For - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field of study - 5 years of experience in a similar role, such as SDET, QA Engineer, or Software Engineer - 4 years of experience working with Backend/API and solving problems related to specific technical topics and assignments - 4 years of experience breaking down problems and identifying scenarios to provide end-to-end test coverage - 3 years of experience working with Test Rail or Test Management Tool, Jira, Confluence, and Python programming and scripting - 3 years of experience with Linux, databases such as SQL or Postgresql, and Shell scripting - 2 years of experience working with Kubernetes, Docker, and Github, and integrating testing artifacts with CI/CD pipeline - 1 year of experience working with AWS
## Nice to Have - Experience with cloud-based technologies and agile development methodologies - Knowledge of insurance industry trends and regulations - Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools - Certification in software testing or a related field
