About the Role
The Security DevOps Engineer role at Zoom is a critical position that requires a deep understanding of DevOps practices and enterprise secrets platforms. As a member of the infrastructure team, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and securing scalable and reliable infrastructure across multiple environments. Your expertise will be essential in enhancing automation, improving observability, and ensuring the high availability of mission-critical systems.The engineering team at Zoom is a collaborative and diverse powerhouse, comprising eight specialized departments. Each department has a unique mission, but they all work together to deliver seamless and innovative communication solutions. As a Security DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and address potential security risks. Your ability to design and implement secure infrastructure solutions will be crucial in maintaining the trust of Zoom's users.
What You Will Do
- Design, implement, and maintain Kubernetes infrastructure using Terraform/Terragrunt, ensuring scalability and reliability across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Lead application deployment strategies using Helm and Argo CD, implementing GitOps principles and declarative deployment workflows.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to enable fast, reliable, and secure software delivery.
- Drive secrets-management modernization initiatives, implementing enterprise solutions like HashiCorp Vault with dynamic secrets rotation and Kubernetes-native integrations.
- Architect and deploy highly available infrastructure solutions with a focus on security, performance, and operational excellence.
- Establish comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Participate in incident response, on-call rotations, and post-incident reviews to continuously improve system resilience.
- Automate operational tasks and workflows using Python, Bash, Go, or similar scripting languages.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance automation, improve observability, and ensure the high availability of mission-critical systems.
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps or SRE roles with a proven track record of infrastructure automation and reliability engineering.
- Proven expertise in provisioning and managing Kubernetes infrastructure using Terraform/Terragrunt and deploying applications using Helm and Argo CD.
- Experience with GitOps principles and declarative deployment workflows.
- Ability to build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
- Leadership experience in secrets-management modernization initiatives using enterprise platforms like HashiCorp Vault.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing highly available cloud and on-premises environments with a focus on security, scalability, and reliability.
- Experience with administering Linux systems and networks with proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, Go, or similar languages.
- Strong understanding of comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
