About the Role

The Security Officer is a vital part of the Montage International team, responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all associates, guests, and assets. This role entails conducting regular patrols of the property, responding to emergencies, and providing a professional security presence. The Security Officer will work closely with other departments to identify and mitigate potential security risks, and will be an active business partner in supporting the company's goals and objectives.

As a key member of the security team, the successful candidate will have a strong understanding of security protocols and procedures, and will be able to think critically and make sound judgments in high-pressure situations. What You Will Do

  • Conduct interior and exterior patrols of the property to identify and mitigate potential security risks
  • Respond to emergencies and provide a professional security presence
  • Draft incident reports and maintain accurate and up-to-date records
  • Conduct associate safety training and report any safety hazards
  • View CCTV monitors and maintain constant surveillance of the property
  • Provide a professional security presence and focus on customer service
  • Receive and communicate all information pertaining to the shift from daily briefings
  • Conduct daily audits to ensure all record logs are current and up to date
  • Respond to and communicate all incidents as they occur
  • Have full knowledge of the property's activities and events each shift

What We Are Looking For

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Minimum two to three years of security experience
  • CPR/First Aid certified and ability to present current Guard Card
  • Advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Luxury hotel experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and provide excellent customer service
  • Strong understanding of security protocols and procedures
  • Ability to think critically and make sound judgments in high-pressure situations

  • Previous experience working in a similar role
  • Knowledge of CCTV systems and monitoring protocols
  • Certification in a related field, such as security management or emergency response
