About the Role
Canonical is seeking exceptional security-focused software engineers to integrate across product teams. The primary focus will be on challenging teams to think deeply about security through state-of-the-art practices.Responsibilities
- Contribute to product security, including feature development, vulnerability response, and proactive security
- Collaborate with other Canonical teams, customers, and partners across the open source ecosystem
- Participate in open source community activities
Requirements
- Strong security focus and passion for open source
- Ability to work in a globally distributed team with strong self-discipline and motivation
Nice to Have
- Experience with threat modeling, table-top exercises, architecture and design reviews, static analysis tools, and fuzzing
