About the Role

The Senior People Business Partner at Plaid will serve as a key collaborator for the HRBP Lead and Go-To-Market (GTM) leadership, leading the charge on all employee relations and performance management. This role is critical in driving the success of Plaid's GTM functions, which are at the forefront of the company's mission to empower the transformation of financial services. By working closely with the HRBP Lead and leadership, the Senior People Business Partner will design and scale high-impact programs that elevate the performance and engagement of the GTM teams.

As a strategic People Business Partner, you will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations, delivering equitable resolutions for employee complaints, and serving as a trusted advisor to managers on complex employee relations and performance management practices. Your analytical mindset will be crucial in identifying trends from employee check-ins, engagement surveys, and workforce data to inform organizational improvement strategies.

What You Will Do

  • Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into employee complaints and concerns, ensuring equitable resolutions that align with Plaid's values and policies.
  • Provide trusted guidance and support to managers on employee relations, performance management, and other HR-related matters, promoting best practices and compliance.
  • Analyze trends and insights from various data sources, including employee check-ins and engagement surveys, to identify opportunities for organizational improvement and inform HR strategies.
  • Collaborate with the HRBP Lead and senior stakeholders to design, implement, and evaluate HR initiatives that support the business goals of the GTM functions.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with employees at all levels, serving as a primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries and concerns.
  • Partner with the HR team to define, clarify, and communicate people policies, ensuring consistency and transparency across the organization.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues, providing proactive advice and solutions to minimize impact on the business.
  • Facilitate training and development programs aimed at enhancing employee skills and knowledge, particularly in areas related to performance management and employee relations.
  • Contribute to the development of the HR function, sharing best practices, and staying updated on industry trends and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with the GTM leadership to understand their strategic objectives and design HR solutions that support their achievement.
  • Engage with external partners and vendors as necessary to support HR initiatives and programs.

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a HR Business Partner or in a similar role, with a proven track record of driving employee engagement and performance management strategies.
  • Experience in conducting workplace investigations and managing performance management processes, with a strong understanding of employment law and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data trends and insights to inform HR strategies and business decisions.
