About the Role
The Senior Account Executive role at Cohere is a unique opportunity to leverage your digital skills and remote work experience to drive business growth in the Energy & Utilities sector. As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building relationships with key stakeholders, and developing tailored value propositions to help customers achieve their business goals. What You Will Do
- Focus on net-new logo acquisition via outbound activity and relationship building with key stakeholders in the Energy & Utilities sector
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive revenue growth and expand Cohere's presence in the sector
- Build and maintain a strong network of industry contacts, including key decision-makers and influencers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver tailored solutions to customers
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand customer pain points and develop targeted solutions
- Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and pitches
- Negotiate and close deals with customers, ensuring successful implementation and deployment of Cohere's solutions
- Provide ongoing support and account management to ensure customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for upsell and cross-sell
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies that impact the Energy & Utilities sector
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to provide feedback and input on Cohere's product roadmap
- Work closely with channel partners to identify opportunities to scale outreach and customer satisfaction in your region
What We Are Looking For
- 8-12+ years of previous B2B sales experience in the Energy & Utilities sector, with a proven track record of success in selling complex technical solutions
- Strong understanding of the Energy & Utilities sector, including industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Strong technical skills, with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical information
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and customer success
- Strong business development and account management skills, with the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high degree of autonomy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and develop targeted solutions
- Experience working with customers during the deployment phase of the engagement, aligning on how best to configure and customize the solution
Nice to Have
- Previous experience selling AI or machine learning solutions to the Energy & Utilities sector
- Experience working with cloud hyperscalers or other channel partners
- Strong understanding of developer tools, API products, or other technical solutions
- Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment
