About the Role

The Senior Account Executive, Enterprise Sales role at Veeam Software is a key position that requires developing and closing business with a number of private accounts in the assigned account list. This is achieved through collaboration with the partner sales community to identify, develop, accelerate, up-sell, and close transactions. The primary focus is on driving sales growth and expansion within the private sector, leveraging the strength of Veeam's data resilience and security solutions.

The role is integral to Veeam's strategy to accelerate the adoption of safe AI at scale, working closely with partners to understand customer needs and deliver tailored solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the enterprise sales landscape, particularly within the context of virtualization technology and data security.

As part of a dynamic and growing team, the Senior Account Executive will be expected to stay abreast of market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies, using this insight to inform sales strategies and drive innovation in customer engagement.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and close business with private sector accounts, focusing on driving revenue growth through new sales and upselling existing customers.
  • Leverage partners to close sales with their end customers, building strong relationships to expand Veeam's reach.
  • Conduct cold calls to develop sales activities with new mid-market and high-segment accounts, identifying opportunities for Veeam's solutions.
  • Upsell and cross-sell to the existing private customer base, ensuring that customers are maximally benefiting from Veeam's portfolio.
  • Forecast sales activities and update account and opportunity details in Salesforce, ensuring accurate pipeline management.
  • Propose, coordinate, and participate in marketing activities within the territory to raise brand awareness and drive lead generation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and effective support for sales initiatives.
  • Travel for at least 50% of the time to meet with customers, partners, and attend strategic sales and marketing events.

What We Are Looking For

  • Enterprise sales experience, preferably within the technology or software industry.
  • Experience with vendors associated with virtualization technology is a significant plus.
  • A track record of selling through channels and directly to customers, with a focus on the private sector.
  • Experience selling to IT infrastructure specialists, with a strong understanding of their needs and pain points.
  • Proven ability to develop new sales channels and expand existing ones, with a strong network of contacts in the industry.
  • A self-starter mentality, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve sales targets.
  • High-energy salesperson with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift rapidly.
  • Business proficient language skills in German and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and partners.
