About the Role

The Senior Account Executive, Non-Acute Spend Management, plays a pivotal role in Vizient's mission to provide data-driven solutions to healthcare providers. This position involves leading non-acute spend management strategies and executions across assigned client accounts, aligning Vizient solutions with client priorities to drive measurable value. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the healthcare supply chain, GPO environments, and non-acute markets, with the ability to translate complex data into client-specific value narratives.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include developing and executing non-acute account plans, identifying and implementing initiatives that deliver client value, and expanding client engagement to support long-term account growth. The Senior Account Executive will serve as a trusted advisor to client leadership, leveraging data, insights, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver impactful results.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute non-acute account plans aligned to client priorities, focusing on delivering measurable value and optimizing non-labor spend.
  • Identify and implement initiatives that deliver client value and achieve growth targets, leveraging market insights and data analytics.
  • Expand client engagement to support long-term account growth and value realization, building and sustaining relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Advise clients on non-labor spend challenges and maintain ongoing engagement to drive outcomes, utilizing knowledge of the healthcare supply chain and GPO environments.
  • Partner across internal teams to deliver a seamless One Vizient experience, ensuring alignment and coordination across different departments.
  • Leverage analytics, business intelligence, and market insights to identify opportunities and guide decision-making, staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs and communicate value delivered to clients, ensuring transparency and accountability in the delivery of services.
  • Drive contract utilization by aligning client spend with agreements and collaborating with distributors and suppliers, maximizing the value from existing contracts.
  • Lead business reviews to communicate progress, demonstrate value, and identify future opportunities, fostering a collaborative and client-centric approach.

What We Are Looking For

  • Relevant degree preferred, with a focus on fields related to business, healthcare, or supply chain management.
  • 5 or more years of relevant experience required, particularly in sales, account management, or consultative client-facing roles within the healthcare industry.
  • Knowledge of healthcare supply chain, GPO environments, and non-acute markets, with the ability to apply this knowledge to drive client value.
  • Strong analytical, presentation, and consultative communication skills, with the ability to translate data into client-specific value narratives.
  • Experience managing sales pipelines and driving revenue growth initiatives, with demonstrated success advancing complex opportunities from discovery through execution and value realization.
  • Proven ability to influence and build credibility with executive-level stakeholders, including C-suite and senior leadership.
  • Working knowledge of Excel and data analysis to synthesize insights and support client recommendations.
  • Ability to travel regularly and expeditiously throughout the year to meet clients’ needs and timetables.

  • Experience with Adjust or similar analytics platforms, enhancing the ability to leverage data for client insights.
  • Certification in supply chain management or a related field, demonstrating a high level of expertise and commitment to professional development.
