About the Role

The Senior Account Manager - Carrier Sales role is a key position at Total Deployment Solutions, responsible for the overall care, growth, and retention of the Carrier Sales team's Total Billed Revenue (TBR). This role requires a deep understanding of the telecommunications industry, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team that is dedicated to providing innovative solutions to carrier and wholesale customers.

As a Senior Account Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing existing TDS carrier revenues by managing new circuit sales, renewing circuits, upgrading circuits, and providing expert customer service. You will work closely with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and develop strategic plans to achieve sales targets. Your expertise in telecommunications and your ability to build strong relationships with customers will be essential in driving growth and revenue.

What You Will Do

  • Manage existing account base and maintain strong relationships with carrier and wholesale customers
  • Take new sales from signed contract through CAA project to acceptance by customer
  • Manage customer expectations on project completion and deliver contracted product to customer for testing
  • Actively manage the existing base to ensure retention and growth of carrier/wholesale accounts
  • Provide education on the industry, technology, and TDS products and services
  • Manage Metasolv records and ensure circuits are in the provisioning system and up to order data standards
  • Work with Product management on Carrier requirements for internal PAC projects
  • Assist in managing customer relationships with named carrier/wholesale accounts
  • Handle MACD for named accounts and negotiate customer credits, if needed
  • Contact carrier customers to renew terms on contracts as term plans expire
  • Guide carrier customers through the TDS special process

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, preferably in the telecommunications industry
  • Strong understanding of telecommunications technology and products
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to build strong relationships with customers
  • Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting sales targets
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Adjust and Excel
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work remotely and manage time effectively
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

Nice to Have

  • Experience in managing a database and using CRM software
  • Knowledge of fiber internet technology and its applications
  • Experience in working with wholesale and carrier customers
  • Certification in sales or a related field
