About the Role

As a Senior Account Manager at Marqeta, you will play a critical role in driving the success of one of our largest global strategic accounts. You will serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day operations and ongoing client needs, working closely with a cross-functional team to ensure seamless execution and high-quality client service. Your expertise will be instrumental in building strong working relationships across the customer's organization and identifying opportunities to improve processes and drive incremental growth.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive growth and expansion
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at the client level
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions and services
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and drive incremental growth
  • Provide proactive communication and timely solutions to client needs
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth
  • Participate in business reviews and use data-driven strategies to make informed decisions
  • Partner with internal teams to deliver effective and timely solutions
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the client's business and industry
  • Identify and pursue new revenue streams based on client needs

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of global enterprise account management experience in the payments industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships
  • Strong grasp of industry trends and competitive landscape
  • Familiarity with fintech, banking, or payments, with a desire to learn and stay up-to-date
  • Positive attitude, team player, adaptable, and resourceful
  • Technical aptitude with the ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts
  • Experience or familiarity with high-growth fintechs and financial services companies
  • Card issuing and processing experience
  • Proven track record of growing and scaling strategic or enterprise accounts
  • Experience managing global customers with multi-region stakeholders

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools
  • Knowledge of programming languages, such as Python or Java
  • Experience with project management tools, such as Asana or Trello
  • Certification in account management or a related field
