The Senior Account Manager, PBM Partnerships role at Interrahealth is a high-ownership, high-visibility commercial position that involves managing multimillion-dollar partnerships with leading pharmacy benefit managers. As a senior account manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of large, complex PBM partnerships, including contract execution, renewal, expansion, and executive relationship development. Your ability to navigate the complexities of the PBM landscape and build strong relationships with key stakeholders will be essential to your success in this role.
What You Will Do
- Own and grow strategically important PBM relationships, managing multimillion-dollar partnerships with leading pharmacy benefit managers
- Develop and execute multi-year account plans that align partner goals with Interra revenue objectives
- Lead high-stakes negotiations, QBRs, and strategic reviews independently, presenting to C-suite and VP-level stakeholders with confidence and credibility
- Build and maintain relationships across multiple levels of each PBM organization, spanning clinical, operations, product, commercial, and legal
- Identify and cultivate executive sponsors who can champion Interra's initiatives internally
- Manage complex contract lifecycles, including amendments, SOWs, renewals, and multi-party agreements
- Build business cases and financial models to support pricing negotiations, renewal strategy, and upsell/cross-sell opportunities
- Maintain disciplined pipeline and forecast management with accurate revenue timing and risk visibility
- Monitor and translate market trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory developments into actionable account strategy and internal insights for leadership
- Actively leverage AI tools to accelerate account planning, research, communication, and reporting
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree a plus
- 7+ years of experience in strategic account management, partnerships, or commercial roles, with a meaningful portion in or selling to the PBM, health plan, or pharmacy benefit ecosystem
- Proven track record managing large, complex PBM or health plan partnerships with multimillion-dollar revenue impact
- Direct experience with organizations such as Evernorth, Optum, CVS Caremark, Prime, Humana, or MedImpact strongly preferred
- Deep domain knowledge of the PBM landscape, including formulary management, prior authorization, pharmacy benefit design, RTPB, cost and coverage transparency, and coupon strategies
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects

- Experience with AI tools and their application in account planning and management
- Knowledge of CMS mandates, NCPDP standards, and transparency requirements
- Familiarity with contract lifecycle management and multi-party agreements
- Certification in a relevant field, such as account management or healthcare administration
