About the Role

The Senior Accountant Financial Reporting position at MRC Management Co is a critical role that involves assisting in the preparation of the company's financial reports. These reports are essential for both external and internal stakeholders, including the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of these reports, which will require strong technical skills, particularly in Excel.

As a Senior Accountant, you will be part of a team that is responsible for the overall financial health of the company. Your role will involve working closely with other departments to ensure that all financial information is accurate and up-to-date. You will also be required to participate in the consolidation and closing process for the company's domestic and international legal entities.

What You Will Do

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including the annual 10-K, quarterly 10-Q, and periodic 8-K reports
  • Prepare financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, and supporting schedules
  • Assist in the preparation of Board of Directors and management reports
  • Participate in the overall consolidation and closing process for the company's domestic and international legal entities
  • Ensure that all financial reports are accurate, complete, and comply with relevant regulations and standards
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all financial information is accurate and up-to-date
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as required
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and standards, and implement these changes as required
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial reporting processes and procedures

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial reporting, preferably in the oil and gas industry
  • Strong technical skills, particularly in Excel
  • Experience with financial reporting software and systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
