About the Role
The Senior Accountant role at Pavago is a critical position that requires strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. As a key member of the finance team, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial reports, managing the general ledger and journal entries, and providing actionable insights to support business decisions.The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), as well as experience with month-end close processes and financial statement preparation. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines is essential, as is the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide support to other team members.

What You Will Do
- Manage the general ledger and journal entries to ensure accurate and complete financial records
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Coordinate the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial reports
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce risk
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support business decisions
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and IFRS, as well as relevant laws and regulations
- Prepare and review audit schedules and support the external audit process
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures
- Provide training and support to other team members as needed
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a senior role
- Strong technical accounting skills, including experience with GAAP and IFRS
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Experience with financial statement preparation and review
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with accounting software and systems
Nice to Have
- Certification as a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Experience with process improvement and implementation of new accounting systems
- Knowledge of Argentine tax laws and regulations
- Experience working in a remote team environment
