About the Role

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include preparatory work for the month-end close process, ensuring that all deadlines are met without compromising on the quality of financial reports. This role requires a high level of organizational skill, as the Senior Accountant will be handling multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing them based on urgency and importance.

What You Will Do

• Prepare month-end journal entries with supporting schedules to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Conduct monthly and quarterly balance sheet account reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial records.
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, including billing, collections, vendor management, and payments.
• Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Monitor daily bank activity and record transactions in the General Ledger system.
• Approve corporate credit card transactions through Bill.com, maintaining oversight of company expenditures.
• Prepare monthly state sales tax reports and remit sales tax, adhering to legal requirements.
• Identify and implement strategies to enhance procedural efficiency, contributing to the continuous improvement of financial operations.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Corporate Controller, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to support team objectives.
• Utilize Agentic AI applications to streamline financial processes and leverage technology for enhanced productivity.

What We Are Looking For

• A degree in Accounting or Finance, providing a solid foundation in financial principles and practices.
• 2-3 years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on financial analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of US GAAP, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Proficiency in G-Suite for Business, Microsoft Word, and especially Excel, which is crucial for data analysis and financial modeling.
• Experience with QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, and Bill.com, although not mandatory, is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate financial information effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously within tight timeframes, showcasing organizational and time management skills.
• Adeptness at utilizing Agentic AI applications for process optimization.
• Adherence to the highest ethical standards and integrity, aligning with the company’s values.
