About the Role
The Senior AI Engineer position at Eleven is a unique dual-focus role that combines technical leadership in AI with hands-on software engineering. The role reports to a Senior Engineering Manager and involves partnering with various departments to drive AI adoption.
What You Will Do
- Design, build, and maintain AI-powered workflows and tools to enhance productivity and efficiency across the organization.
- Evaluate, prototype, and introduce cutting-edge AI technologies and patterns into company workflows.
- Develop and execute comprehensive AI training strategies for employees to ensure effective and responsible AI adoption.
- Establish and maintain robust security measures and governance policies for AI usage.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in AI/ML tooling and serve as a subject matter expert.
- Manage relationships with AI-related vendors and tech partners, ensuring fit, security, and cost-effectiveness.
- Architect, design, and implement scalable and secure cloud-native solutions on AWS.
- Champion security-first development practices across all services.
- Mentor and develop engineers to foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives and collaborate with product management, UX, and engineering leadership.
What We Are Looking For
- Strong background in software engineering with a focus on AI and machine learning.
- Experience in designing and implementing AI-powered workflows and tools.
- Excellent understanding of AI technologies, including agentic AI, LLM orchestration, and multi-step reasoning.
- Ability to evaluate and introduce new AI tools and patterns.
- Proven track record in developing and executing AI training strategies.
- Strong focus on security and experience in establishing governance policies for AI usage.
- Excellent leadership and collaboration skills.
- Experience with cloud-native solutions, preferably on AWS.
