About the Role

The Senior AI Engineer position at Proxify is a pivotal role that involves leading the development and scaling of LLM-powered solutions. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for transforming raw model capabilities into robust, reliable, and scalable backend services. This role requires a deep understanding of the generative AI lifecycle, including prompt engineering, RAG architecture, fine-tuning, and production-grade deployment.

Day-to-day, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify high-impact AI opportunities and navigate the technical trade-offs of generative AI. Your expertise in Python, asynchronous programming, and backend architecture will be essential in designing and optimizing complex AI workflows.

What You Will Do

  • Architect and implement complex AI workflows using frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Haystack
  • Design and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, including vector database management and advanced indexing strategies
  • Evaluate and implement strategies for model selection based on latency, cost, and performance requirements
  • Develop high-performance Python backends to serve AI features to a global user base
  • Build robust evaluation frameworks to measure LLM accuracy, reduce hallucinations, and monitor production performance
  • Work closely with product and engineering teams to identify high-impact AI opportunities
  • Deploy AI models in cloud environments, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and manage CI/CD for AI services
  • Fine-tune open-source models using techniques like LoRA or QLoRA
  • Collaborate with the team to design and implement agentic frameworks and autonomous AI agents

What We Are Looking For

  • Expert-level Python skills with a deep understanding of asynchronous programming and backend architecture
  • Proven experience building and deploying production-level applications using Large Language Models (LLMs)
  • Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, specifically optimized for high-dimensional vector search
  • Familiarity with deploying AI models in cloud environments and managing CI/CD for AI services
  • Experience with fine-tuning open-source models using techniques like LoRA or QLoRA
  • Knowledge of agentic frameworks and autonomous AI agents
  • Background in traditional NLP (Spacy, NLTK) or classic Machine Learning
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience with containerization using Docker
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes or other container orchestration tools
  • Knowledge of cloud-based data storage solutions, such as AWS S3 or GCP Cloud Storage
