About the Role
As a Senior AI Vertical Mini-Series Director at EverAI, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of short drama series that showcase the potential of AI-driven storytelling. This is a unique opportunity to work with a talented team of AI content creators, tech specialists, and other short film directors to push the boundaries of what is possible in the world of AI companionship. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include collaborating with the in-house AI copilot, directing, editing, and finishing episodes, as well as working closely with the executive team to ensure the series aligns with the company's vision.EverAI is committed to creating a new category of AI companionship, and as a senior director, you will play a key role in shaping this vision. What You Will Do
- Own the end-to-end production of 1-2 series at a time, including 10-15 episodes per series and a trailer
- Collaborate with the in-house AI copilot for character consistency, casting, and trailer generation
- Direct, edit, and finish each episode, bringing your storytelling and craft expertise to the table
- Create scripts, incorporating hooks, cliffhangers, and minute-to-minute escalation to keep audiences engaged
- Work closely with the team of AI content creators, tech team, and other short film directors to ensure a cohesive and high-quality final product
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to the development of new ideas and concepts
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in AI-driven content creation
- Provide feedback and guidance to junior team members, helping to develop their skills and expertise
- Collaborate with the executive team to align the series with the company's overall vision and strategy
What We Are Looking For
- 4+ years of experience directing or showrunning short-form narrative video
- Strong scripting instincts, with the ability to craft compelling stories and characters
- Experience with AI generation tools, such as Runway Gen-4, Sora 2, Kling 3, Veo 3, Pika, Higgsfield, and Seedance
- Strong communication and collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Goal-oriented, with a strong focus on ownership and commitment
- Ability to balance execution, planning, and strategy, with a doer mindset and a willingness to learn and iterate quickly
- Experience with vertical drama platforms and a strong understanding of what works in this format
- Fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience working with remote teams and collaborating across different time zones
- Knowledge of film editing software, such as Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro
- Familiarity with project management tools, such as Asana or Trello
- Experience with data analysis and performance metrics, with the ability to use data to inform creative decisions
