About the Role
The Senior AM- LTV role at Ciena is a critical position that requires a motivated professional with a solid techno-commercial understanding and experience in supporting sales in complex environments. As a key member of the sales team, the Senior AM- LTV will work closely with the Account Leader, Pre-Sales Engineering team, Operations teams, and global support teams to develop and implement sales strategies aimed at driving steady revenue growth for assigned accounts.The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in account management skills, technical knowledge in the telecom industry, and excellent communication skills. The ability to collaborate across multiple teams and prioritize tasks effectively is essential for success in this role.
The Senior AM- LTV will be responsible for managing relationships within complex customer organizations, positioning solutions, preparing pricing and commercial proposals, and supporting contract negotiations. The role also involves collecting and communicating customer feature requirements to global teams and staying informed on market trends and competitor activities.
What You Will Do
- Support identification and management of relationships within complex customer organizations
- Assist in positioning solutions, preparing pricing and commercial proposals, and supporting contract negotiations
- Apply technical knowledge in the Telecom industry, especially in Optical, Routing, and Switching
- Prepare and deliver presentations to internal teams and customers
- Stay informed on market trends and competitor activities
- Support account and regional sales efforts
- Develop an understanding of the customer’s business model and priorities
- Collaborate with Ciena teams, including product marketing, product management, and sales operations, to meet sales goals
- Help drive product presentations and demonstrations at various levels within Ciena and client organizations
- Assist in responding to RFPs, RFIs, and quotation requests
- Collect and communicate customer feature requirements to global teams
What We Are Looking For
- 4 to 7 years of experience in B2B sales, solution selling, system engineering, product management, or a related role
- Demonstrated ability to support sales processes and contribute to closing deals
- Technical background in Telecom, particularly in Optical, Routing, and Switching
- Prior selling experience in Optical networking
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Basic understanding of market and competitor dynamics
- Experience in managing relationships within complex customer organizations
- Ability to work effectively within a matrix organizational structure
