About the Role

The Senior Associate, Dasher and Logistics role is a critical position within DoorDash's logistics team, responsible for managing the company's parcel operations. This role will focus on either regional site performance or network-level operational management, working closely with internal teams and external operators to analyze performance, solve complex logistical challenges, and implement scalable solutions.

As a key member of the logistics team, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence, partnering with cross-functional teams to improve operational workflows, and building scalable processes to ensure the network operates smoothly. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include analyzing performance data, identifying areas for improvement, and developing and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

What You Will Do

  • Analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement and develop process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, and Operations, to improve operational workflows and build scalable processes
  • Develop and implement standardized operating procedures, monitoring frameworks, and escalation processes to enable the network to scale while maintaining high-quality standards
  • Collaborate with site operators to improve workflows, SOP adherence, and overall service levels
  • Investigate operational issues and develop solutions to improve performance
  • Support site launches and expansions, ensuring operational success and minimizing downtime
  • Work closely with the Regional Operations team to identify trends, address quality gaps, and implement improvements to raise the performance bar
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external operators and partners to ensure smooth operation of the logistics network
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve the logistics operation
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements, and develop plans to implement these changes

What We Are Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in logistics, operations, or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience using data to drive decision-making
  • Experience with operational management, including process improvement and project management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box
  • Experience with Excel and Google Sheets, with the ability to analyze and interpret data
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with changing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction
  • Experience with transportation management systems and logistics software

Nice to Have

  • Experience with SQL and data analysis tools
  • Knowledge of the food delivery or logistics industry
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma
  • Certification in logistics or a related field
